Just a Wee Bit Overwhelmed
The reason I've been so lax in keeping this blog up to date should be rather obvious, right? Packing up 9 1/2 years of my life into boxes and sleeping on friends' couches does not leave much time for blogging.
Thank you to everyone who has shown such love and support as I've been going through my divorce. I'm hanging in there.
My new apartment will be ready for move in on the 4th. So I may not post until after that. And then... C gets the laptop; I get the printer and external hard drive. So... I may be a little quieter until I get a new laptop and internet connection.
Packing is hell. Not even to mention the task of dividing possessions up. I am referring to the process of going through my piles of books and papers to unbury my stuff. Interestingly, I have a shelf that is being held up by books and papers. So I need to empty the shelf before I can pack the books. But on the shelf is an enormous stack of floppies that I want to transfer to my external hard drive and then just throw out.
Next there is the drawer whose face broke off. The face of the drawer is held in place by a stack of paper about two feet high, sitting on the floor in front of the drawer. I'm really hoping to use this move as an opportunity to clear out some of this paper debris and simplify my life some.
[sigh] And I won't even go into how financially crippling this divorce is going to be...
And all of this while I am finishing up my Master's degree and working 24+ hours/week.
Fun, fun, fun, huh?
