Tips for Skateboarding in a Downpour
If depth perception is important to you, you may want to wear swimming goggles, as the rain drops take one eye out at a time as they pelt into your face at the speed of your board.
If you prefer sidewalk surfing, as opposed to street surfing, downpours are your best opportunity for a safe ride. While everyone else is staying dry inside or tucked tight under awnings, the sidewalk is all yours.
====================================
I can't believe I'd never gone skateboarding in the rain before. Although I contemplated using my hair dryer on my trucks after I got home for fear they might rust. But the air was warm and I was running too late to go by foot and it was FUN! Though I don't think the folks I was going to meet knew we were starting our visit off with a wet t-shirt contest. ;-)
