Pet Noir

This is a repost to remind you that TOMORROW night is Pet Noir! If you're in San Francisco, CHECK IT OUT! Gorgeous art and for a good cause, you don't want to miss it!

Last night, I met up with Mari at the Belazo Gallery where she was busy hanging all of the incredible artwork for her Pet Noir show. There is some truly amazing art in this show. If I wasn't a student, y'all would be missing out, because I'd have bought just about the entire show out. There is a wonderful mix of super-cool, urban hip artists exhibiting an incredibly broad spectrum of images of animals. It's not just cats and dogs - imagery of frogs, pet insects, bunny sculpture, and more. If you're in the San Francisco bay area, check it out.

The show is at the Belazo Gallery at 2811 Mission St. @ 24th St. This group exhibit benefits the funding of the comic book anthology, Pet Noir, which is full of "shocking true crime stories that shook the Bay Area and rocked the nation." A percentage of the profits made from the opening party will be donated to the animal rights organization IDA. This art show features the "twisted pet art of thirty established and emerging bay area artists." Musical guests include ezee tiger, so so many white tigers and fuckwolf.
