Photography Under Attack

I was just reading on Claudine's blog about recent attacks against photography - including an attack by MUNI and BART against a photographer who was taking photos on public transit in San Francisco. This is ridiculous! I've taken photos dozens of times on BART trains and in BART stations. This seems simply absurd to me.

"SFist would like to ask that anyone interested in finding out join us at noon on Saturday at the Muni Fare gate at the Embarcadero Station. Bring a camera, and we'll take a ride on the train and take some pictures, just like Gothamist did when New York City promised to start enforcing it's ban on subway photography."

Here is the link Claudine found on The Photographer's Rights. Thanks so much Claudine for spreading the news!

Comments:
Video cameras are now not allowed on NYC subways, with terrorism as the reasoning (maybe like making a video of what it looks like, something like that).
