Pandora's Box

I just came across the site Hot or Not. First of all, I cannot believe how frightening it is. Who are these people who are putting their photos up to be rated? Very few of them are my type. And as offensive as it seems, I can't help but get addicted to scoring them. Each photo screams "Click here to meet me!" Not once would I want to - why should I? I know nothing about you except what I see in a picture of your face. You could be anybody. You could be a serial killer for all I know. And yet, here I go, clicking scores. Yeah, I guess she's pretty. I'll give her a six. Hmmm, no, he's not so attractive, I'll give him a three. And then I get to see their average score. I gave her a six, but her overall score is a three!!!! How offensive is that? And then I see, she last looked up her score three hours ago. Why are people doing this? Why torture yourself? Why am I?

Okay I finally clicked on "meet me" and realized this is a dating service! Ahhhh. Okay, but still. This is weird.
