"Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose"
C showed Daniel's photos of me to our dog walker (DW) today. C thought DW would have an appreciation for their artistic merit as DW is also an artist. We have one of his paintings up in our apartment.
DW: Yeah, these photos are great. I love all of the scarves. They remind me of Janis Joplin.
Now, I know Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks are not at all related. But if you recall my intense paranoia of Stevie Nicks, you may understand why my brain might jump there.
Please tell me these photos don't make you think of Stevie Nicks.
You know what? It doesn't really matter. I truly have nothing against Stevie Nicks really. And besides, I like the photos. So be it. Stevie Nicks or no Stevie Nicks. Nor Janis Joplin for that matter. Though googling photos of each of them, I don't quite get the Janis Joplin reference, do you?

Oh, wow, I have been trying to comment for awhile and having trouble, so I'm glad to have made it this far. Darn computers! The photos remind me of my favorite portrait photographer, Jan Saudek. The pretty colors/scarves, beautiful body, and playfulness make me think of his work.
