Collie Theory
At dinner tonight, my sister K told me that she had recently realized that my parent thought of me as their smart daughter. This came up in reference to my parents apparent shock when K presented them with her law school grades and the fact that she was in the Order of Coif of her law school. She said my parents had applied the "Collie Theory" of intelligence. Collie's apparently got dumber as their noses got longer. My dad thought K looked more like my mom and that I looked more like my dad and thus I was more intelligent (with the assumption that my father is smarter than my mother).
I don't quite get this theory - so apparently this theory of intelligence is inaccurate - as my sister seems to understand it ;). How could I be smarter than K as my nose is longer than hers? And is she insinuating that she is the more attractive daughter since the Collie's got more attractive with longer noses, but also got dumber.
In fact, I think K and I are equally smart. Though she is possibly slightly more attractive than I am.
