Catheters for Everyone!

One of my co-workers, a fellow nurse, told me about this device you can buy on-line called a Stadium Pal. It's essentially what us nurses know as a condom catheter, but sold to the public as a device to use to collect your urine when you're at a game and don't want to miss a shot by getting up to use the bathroom. Here is a testimonial by a UPS driver who uses this product:

"My name is Steven and I am a driver for United Parcel Service in Michigan. Having an occupation that requires speed and always on the run, can cause problems with having to pause to use the restroom. There has actually been a couple drivers from my center who have lost their jobs for urinating in bottles in their truck! Now that I have my stadium pal there is no more delay or inconvenience for constantly stopping to use the bathroom. It was a little unusual getting used to, but now I find myself urinating right during delivering packages or conversating with people. What people don't know won't bother them!!!!!!! I am always on time and no more bathroom worry. Thank you Stadium Pal."

So just imagine - your UPS driver may be urinating into a catheter bag as you sign for your holiday packages this year. Hey, at $30, they'd make a great stocking stuffer for that spectator sport kinda guy in your life. ;) Oh, but don't forget, the Stadium Gal is also available for women - comes with a free bikini wax when it comes time to take it off! Can you believe this?

Comments:
Texas Cath. One of the surgeons at the hospital I worked at used to wear one when he was doing open heart surgeries so he could concentrate. It was only a matter of time.

Did you know that David Sedaris wrote a very funny short story about his experience with Stadium Pal?! He read it when I saw him do a performance/reading at Carnegie Hall! He had the audience in stitches!

just catching up on all my missed beloved blogs.
