Found Furnishings

I ran into our new dog walker on my way to work today.

DW: I went to pick up C-dog at your house today and noticed that you and I have similar taste in home decor.

ME: Really? What do you mean? You collect junk, too? (laughing)

As we continued along the sidewalk, we came across a stack of picture frames someone had discarded and left leaning up against a tree.

DW: Hey, would you look at that? (pointing to the frames)

ME: yeah, those are some good lookin' frames.

The frames were all three made of wood and tinted similarly in a warm medium-honey brown.

DW: yeah, I have a piece of art i could put in there. (looking thoughtful and holding the frame at arm's length). or hey, maybe I'll just paint someting on the cardboard backing. Hmmmph. (half-laugh). you want one of the smaller ones?

ME: sure

So, yeah, DW and I have similar tastes in home decorating techniques. Unfortunately for C, we seem to be encouraging one another. I can hear her now.

C: Can you please stop bringing home orphaned furnishings from off the street?

Comments:
Jan is always bringing home stuff from the street. Their bookcase is a ladder. I think it's an artist thang! David has the same reaction as C!
