The Big O of the Big C

Monday night was C's and my seventh anniversary since our Commitment Ceremony. To celebrate, we borrowed sister-out-law M's car and drove down the California coastline along Route 1 and had dinner at The Distillery in Moss Beach. According to the historical photos and newspaper clippings posted throughout the restaurant, the building the restaurant is now in used to be a brothel. The Moss Beach Distillery is also known to be haunted, though I didn't see or even sense any ghosts during our lovely meal. Of course, the stunning view of the Pacific through the large glass windows was more than enough to distract me from even the most horrifying hauntings.

On our drive home, I was a little surprised when C said, "I love California so much. It's so amazingly beautiful. At this point, I'm not sure I could live anywhere else."

The surprise came from my assumption C would always want to move back east. Her love of the smell and feel of green grass under her feet always seemed such a strong lure for her. I, however, definitely share her most recent sentiment.

"Yeah, driving along route 1 with these amazing views of the coastline is almost as intense as an orgasm," I gushed.

"Yeah, I know what you mean," C agreed quietly as we both continued to gaze out the windshield.

Comments:
Would you two like to stay in San Francisco or eventually move to a house somewhere else in Cali?

Well, seeing as we'd like to eventually OWN our home, it's pretty likely we'll be leaving the city at some point. But I hope we'll stay within driving distance of the Bay area.
