Caren is currently house-sitting at a fancy home up in the Oakland hills. So part of the evening was spent planning a slumber party for following weekend. We're going to have a cheerleader movie marathon and watch But I'm a Cheerleader; Sugar & Spice; and Bring It On. C is trying to convince everyone to dress up as cheerleaders. Unfortunately, I never made it into my parent's attic to track down my old Pom Pom uniform from high school while we were in Maryland.

Rebekah started making jokes about what the neighbors will think when they see a motley, mismatched cheerleading squad heading into the house. Apparently, Rebekah already caused quite a stir in the neighborhood when she showed up in cut offs carrying a box full of baby chicks. This sight is not as strange as it sounds. Rebekah has raised chickens in the backyard of her Berkeley home for some time now. This new litter of chick siblings will spend their first few weeks visiting elementary school classrooms before settling in with Rebekah's other chickens to lay eggs in Rebekah's backyard. Posted by Hello
